Overview
Discover the Champagne region on a small-group day trip from Paris for just 2 to 6 travelers. Visit two very different Champagne producers, from a traditional family-run house to a large modern producer, enjoy guided cellar tours and tastings, visit the village of Hautvillers and the tomb of Dom Pérignon, and enjoy free time for lunch in Épernay. Your day is designed to show you two very different sides of Champagne production. Begin with a visit to a traditional Champagne house, where you will discover a more intimate approach to winemaking. Explore the cellars, learn about the production process and enjoy a guided Champagne tasting. Continue through the vineyards to Hautvillers, one of the most historic villages of the Champagne region. Visit the Saint-Sindulphe church, where Dom Pierre Pérignon is buried. The Benedictine monk lived and worked at the nearby abbey for decades and played an important role in improving Champagne winemaking and blending techniques.
