Lyon: Fine Wines & Iconic Lyonnaise Specialties Pairing Class

Overview

Unlike classic tastings you don’t only taste good pairings. Your sommelier also serves deliberate mismatches so you feel for yourself what makes a pairing work and why another one fails. It is the quickest way to train your palate and the most fun one too. On the table you’ll find a generous selection of the Lyonnaise specialties locals really eat. They come from the artisans the Lyonnais trust and are far from the dishes served on tourist menus. Each one meets fine wines that take you on a journey across France and its great vineyards. Your host trained in Burgundy and worked as a sommelier in a renowned restaurant before devoting himself to sharing wine and its pairings. Seated in a characterful wine cellar of the Croix-Rousse in a small group of up to 8 guests you can ask every question and leave able to choose your own pairings.
